Mt. Rainier FC Academy of Excellence (AOE)

Under the guidance of the Director of Youth Development, Jesse Wheelock, the Mt. Rainier Futbol Club Academy of Excellence will encompass both the Youth Development Academy and Junior Academy. Both programs will provide professional, player-centric instruction in an academy-style model. .

Mt. Rainier FC AOE Junior Academy

The Junior Academy is a development program open to players in the U7-U10 age groups that need and desire a formal, more advanced soccer experience delivered in a structured skills intensive environment. Children in these age categories love to play and learn best by “doing.” Training sessions will be designed to maximize the amount of touches on the ball that each player receives with little or no time spent standing or waiting.

Biweekly training will consist of academy-style training sessions led by Mt. Rainier FC Youth Development trainiers with players grouped according to age and/ or ability. The Mt. Rainier FC Junior Academy will run year round on a monthly or quarterly basis and will incorporate weekly trainings, weekend matches, small-sided games, tournaments, and jamboree activities within the program and with other area programs and clubs.

In the fall and spring, select players based on attendance, positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and overall excellent work ethic will be invited to represent Mt. Rainier FC Juniors in games against other competitive clubs in the Puget Sound Premier League in games at Starfire Sports Complex.

Sessions are tentatively scheduled for Monday and Wednesday evenings from 530-700 at WRAP, located at 27515 120th St E in Buckley, WA.

MRFC Junior Academy Boys and Girls U7-U9 Player Assessment Fees:

$135 Quarterly or $50 Monthly
Player Assessment Includes: All coaching and training fees, training field costs and a Mt. Rainier FC t-shirt. New Mt Rainier FC t-shirts will be issued at the beginning of each quarterly session.
Note: Additional fees will incur for participation in the fall or spring PSPL Youth Development League at Starfire.
