MRFC North Premier Program

Exciting NEW division of premier...

Mt Rainier Futbol Club (MRFC) is proud to announce a NEW division of their premier youth soccer club. The new division of MRFC will serve  youth soccer players north of Enumclaw. Players will train and play in Maple Valley, Black Diamond, Ravensdale and areas adjacent to the Tahoma School District. MRFC is making this move due to demand from players and families looking for another opportunity that fits the needs of these communities. This new division of MRFC is called MRFC North. Our staff is comprised of very experienced coaches that have a long history of developing players and leading them to success. MRFC provides specialized goalkeeper training, weekly sessions dedicated to improving individual technique, agility and speed, along with twice a week team training. MRFC North plays in the US Club sanctioned Puget Sound Premier League (PSPL).

We understand the last few years have been trying for local youth soccer players. We are here to provide a proven program with history you can trust. Your player will thrive, grow and have fun playing the “beautiful game”. Click on the below link to listen to a podcast by MRFC DOC Luke Howells talking about MRFC North.

MRFC North has received multiple requests to put together teams at the following age groups:

Girls 2005, Girls 2006, Boys 2009, Boys 2008. We also have a few roster spots available at certain other age groups.  If there are players looking for a "no nonsense" experience to  learn and play the game of soccer, from a highly trained and experienced coaching staff,  MRFC North is the place to be.

The MRFC-North Premier Program caters to dedicated soccer-focused players, who want to train and compete with other like-minded players. Players are selected through a tryout process conducted by MRFC-North Club personnel utilizing professional coaches and MRFC player selection evaluators. Our premier program is open to both girls and boys ages 8-18 (9U-19U).

MRFC’s “player first” philosophy is to maximize individual player development while striving to continually form teams capable of competing at the highest levels possible. MRFC’s priority is to place players on teams most appropriate for  his/her current skillset.

Although MRFC players will train in an enjoyable environment, they will be held to high standards and expectations. Players are continually challenged to reach goals set forth by MRFC coaches and trainers to attain optimal player development & performance. Playing time will be determined by the player’s desire, attitude, effort and performance.

Tryouts and Training:
Teams will train three times per week in  Maple Valley, Ravensdale and Kent areas. Two trainings, led by MRFC-North coaching staff, and the third training led by Academy of Excellence trainers.

Tryouts will be held in these respective areas.  Specific times and dates that will be released on the website and via email blasts. Click on the link above or below for information and to register for MRFC North tryouts.

League Play:
Teams will compete in the PSPL - Puget Sound Premier League (US Club Soccer) which consists of year round play. Games take place on weekends: occasionally there will be double-headers. Higher level teams could travel anywhere within the state with the slim possibility of travel to the Oregon and/or Idaho border.

·      9U-14U age teams will play in both a fall league (September – December) and a spring league (February – April).

·      Girls High School (15U-19U) age teams will play during the summer (June-August) and Winter/Spring (November-April). They are off in fall to avoid conflicts with their respective high school fall season.

·      Boys High School (15U-19U) age teams will play during the summer and Fall/Winter (June-February). They finish league play in February to avoid conflicts with their respective high school spring season.

Teams will participate typically in 3+ US Club sanctioned tournaments (local & out of area), including one all club attended tournament. Most teams will also participate in the end of season WA Cup.
